Mount Kosciuszko is a mountain located in the Main Range of the Snowy Mountains in New South Wales Australia. It is the highest mountain on mainland Australia. Mount Kosciuszko is on the “Bass Version” of the Seven Summits list.

The first recorded ascent of Mount Kosciuszko was made in 1840 by Paweł Edmund Strzelecki but it is believed that Indigenous Australians traveled to the summit in ancient times before this.
